Almost exactly a month a go, Kate and I decided to take a weekend trip down to Atlanta.  We realized when moved down to Nashville, that we were a lot closer to some interesting cities and might as well take the opportunity to see some of them while we were here in The South.  So for Valentine’s day weekend we made the 4 hour trip for a 2 day stay in Atlanta Georgia.

Our first stop into the city was the Atlanta History Museum.  They had a lot of info on Atlanta’s past and growth as well as significant events that were important to Atlanta including the Civil War, Martin Luther King Jr, and the 1996 Olympics.  After checking into our hotel, we got a nice Valentine’s Day dinner at a great Thai restaurant.  For the evening’s activies we had heard about a fun event going on at Atlanta’s High Museum of Art.  We decided to check it out and were glad we did.  Not only was the Art Museum impressive itself, they also had a special exhibit on the Terracotta Army that was very cool to see.  There was also had some fun music, dancing and desserts to keep us entertained.

The following morning we laid out our path to see three of the more popular tourist attractions that were all centrally located to our hotel and Centennial Olympic Park.  Our first stop was the CNN World Headquarters studio tour.  After our tour we moved on to visit the World of Coke and the Georgia Aquarium.  By the end of the day we realized we had seen quite a lot for such a short period and were ready to head home.  We had a great time and Atlanta is a really neat city.

Hello all. I have not been on here and keeping up with life updates like I did with the wedding because school has been crazy! But I am almost done! In two months I will be a graduate. Right now I have my thesis defense, solo student teaching, and two more teaching tests left.

Tim will be on here later to talk about our wonderful weekend in Atlanta.

We have been back and forth between Columbus and Nashville looking for houses so keep checking back for an update on that.

A quick fly through the site.  At the top you’ll find all the links to send you along your merry way.  The wedding link will take you to the old wedding site which we’ll keep somewhat as a keepsake so we can look back 25 years from now and go “awwww, Tim was so much cuter when he had hair”.  The rest should be fairly self explanatory.  I opted to keep the format of our “blog” section in a single column to keep things as simple and clean as possible.  I think the the template of the site might be a little too clean and neat, but it will change and adjust as our life does.  If you have any suggestions or thoughts, feel free to leave a comment.

Finally at the bottom of the main page you should see a form where you can enter your email to receive updates whenever we post something new here on the small chance that you aren’t checking back here everyday.
