Tim & Kate’s Wedding

About Us

Kate:

Originally from Cincinnati went to Ohio State and has a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. She is currently a Graduate Student at Vanderbilt in Nashville studying Special Education.

Tim:

Originally from Southern California, he moved to Ohio when he was 13. He attended and graduated Ohio State in 2005 and currently works for Ashland Inc. in Dublin.

Tim and Kate moved into the same apartment complex in the Fall of 2004. Although they lived on the same floor they never met each other until their friends introduced them. Kate’s good friend from high school, Jess, was dating one of Tim’s new college friends, Bree. One night while Jess and Bree went to visit Tim, Jess stopped by to see Kate. She mentioned she was at the apartment complex to visit some of Bree’s friends and that they were all nice guys. She said that Kate and her roommates should go down and hang out. Thus began the initial “friends” relationship of Kate and Tim.

Over the course of the next few months, their bond grew and with a little help from flirtation, undercooked meals, and cupid (aka Jess’s) arrow, Kate asked Tim out to lunch. After lunch Tim was fishing for details from Jess, as noted in the following conversation:

After a lovely lunch at Jimmy John’s (which Kate doesn’t like… but went to knowing Tim does)… Kate went down to Tim’s apartment and asked if he wanted to go to Gallery Hop with her and her roommates.. His response was yes but his feelings on the subject and why he said yes is in the conversation with “Cupid” below:

After a pleasant evening of hopping and getting Tim’s “assignment” done, a few days later Tim asked Kate out on an official first date. They went to Carrabba’s for dinner and afterwards went ice skating. Neither of the two wanted to say good night so they watched the movie Se7en at Tim’s place. Tim and Kate felt that the first date couldn’t have gone better and to sum up their feelings about the date here is one last part of a conversation between Tim and “Cupid”:

Almost two and a half years later, Tim decided to propose

So looking at this now… it makes me sound a little desperate…but I promise I wasn’t!… this was over the course of weeks.

Haha Kate, I can vouch that you weren’t desperate! You were just falling in love and didn’t even know it yet. I had almost forgotten about that Gallery Hop we all went to! Who would have known that 2 and a half years later I’d be leaving a comment on your wedding web site :)

This was so fun for me to read. I had forgotten the details of the beginning of you two and the conversations … it’s so amusing… I sure was not nearly as sly or smooth as I thought I was at the time! I’m so happy for you both and can’t wait to celebrate with you two!
Love you both,
Jess, call me cupid.

The entire site is so great, but I especially love the bridal party page! I laughed out loud (several times) when I read the bio’s…I’m so excited for you two to join the married club! :)
